Clark Gable's Golf Cart Rolls On The Auction Block
A Piece Of Clark Gable Hollywood Memorabilia Heads To Auction. Personal Golf Cart of Clark Gable, American icon, hits Manor's October 2010 Auction block.
Rescued, by the consignor, from the Buckley School where Clark Gable's son attended college. Clark Gable's Golf Cart will drive off the auction block in Manor Auctions October 2010 Lakeland Florida Auction. Gable, known to many as the King of Hollywood, is considered the 7th greatest male star of all time by the American Film Institute. He donated his personal Golf Cart to the Buckley School where his son attended college. The school later sold the Clark Gable Golf Cart in 1976 to the individual who has commissioned it to auction with Manor. A complete file of provenance accompanies the sale of the Golf Cart. Complete with Clark Gable's initials stenciled in gold to the front of the cart. The Golf Cart is all original. Included with the cart is one of Clark Gable's personal golf clubs. This cart is truly a wonderful piece of Hollywood memorabilia to cross the block.

About Clark Gable:
William Clark Gable (February 1, 1901 – November 16, 1960) was an American film actor, nicknamed "The King of Hollywood" in his heyday. In 1999, the American Film Institute named Gable seventh among the greatest male stars of all time.
Gable's most famous role was Rhett Butler in the 1939 Civil War epic film Gone with the Wind, in which he starred with Vivien Leigh. His performance earned him his third nomination for the Academy Award for Best Actor; he won for It Happened One Night (1934) and was also nominated for Mutiny on the Bounty (1935). Later performances were in Run Silent, Run Deep, a submarine war film, and his final film, The Misfits (1961), which paired Gable with Marilyn Monroe in her last screen appearance.
